For a +Green,
+Human City

Integrating sustainability, neuroscience, and regenerative urbanism to create environments that harmonize nature and human well-being from a multiscalar vision.

Philosophy

Why

Estudio Ciudad?

Estudio, represents the creative studio, a space for thinking, analyzing, researching, and developing ideas, projects, and advisory services gounded in our realities. Ciudad, represents the place where everything happens, where multiple scales converge. One cannot exist without the other: there is no city without architecture, and no architecture without the city.

Our services are framed within the urban scale, guided by a bioclimatic, sustainable, and resilient vision, incorporating transdisciplinary concepts and research derived from neuroscience, enabling the creation of comprehensive projects, processes, and solutions.

The Estudio Ciudad

Approach

At Estudio Ciudad, our  +green, +human, approach is applied across multiple urban scales, from the street, public space and facilities, to infrastructure, neighborhoods, districts, the city itself, and broader urban systems within the territory.

Each scale is an opportunity to strengthen the connection between people and their environmentby integrating principles of sustainability, neuroarchitecture, and regenerative design. Our goal is for every intervention to contribute to a healthier, more inclusive, and regenerative urban ecosystem, one in which nature and people coexist in balance.

ABOUT Eunice Avid

FOUNDER & DIRECTOR OF ESTUDIO CIUDAD

I am an architect and urban planner with over twenty years of experience dedicated to creating conscious urban and architectural solutions, centered on people and deeply connected to nature.Addressing the contemporary challenges of cities and architecture through an approach that integrates sustainability, resilience, bioclimatic design, and inclusion, my work brings together the principles of biophilia and neuroarchitecture, applying strategic planning as a tool to balance both social and individual needs.

I developed the Urban Green Connectomicsmethodology, an innovative approach that weaves together neuroscience and urbanism to analyze, assess, and design improvement strategies that strengthen urban green networks, contributing to greater urban resilience in the face of climate change.

Throughout my career, I have collaborated with diverse institutions and organizations, implementing nature-based solutionsthat foster more sustainable, bioclimatic, and human-centered urban environments. My work also extends into teaching, research, and mentorship—sharing knowledge and experiences that inspire more conscious and empathetic ways of inhabiting, designing, and planning the spaces that surround us.
